Tangled up in Charlotte Tilbury’s Web

Charlotte Tilbury’s makeup line has been all but a dream and out of reach for a long time. Being in Australia makes it really difficult to get your hands on the range. Now that I have, all I can say is that it is all kinds of lovely! Thanks to Beautylish offering a $25USD voucher for first orders and free shipping on orders over $100, without hesitation I made a few little purchases… and boy oh boy, am I glad I did.

Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Youth Boosting Perfect Skin Foundation

This foundation has quickly shot up to the top of my list, competing with the big boys by the likes of Giorgio Armani and Chanel. Imagine Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk and Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua had a baby, well this is it. It has a light-to-medium coverage, which is buildable to a medium coverage with a gorgeous luminous finish. Some luminous foundations can tend to make you look shiny or sweaty, but not this one. I found this foundation to be quite long-wearing and did not emphasise or stick to any dry patches.

Now, let’s talk about Beautylish for a moment. I was apprehensive to order a foundation that I had never seen or applied before. The sales assistant from Beautylish was able to match my shade perfectly to a shade #2, just from a description of my skin colour, skin type and current foundation shade that I use. Let me tell you, this product is the only base product I have reached for since I got it.

Charlotte Tilbury Rock N’ Kohl pencil in Elizabeth Violet

CT Pencil

I have always been a huge fan purple-y shades of eyeliner for subtle looks and have generally reached for either MAC Prunella or the Armani Eye Pencil in Eggplant. This one is also pretty darn good and longer-lasting than the others I have used. It is an incredibly soft pencil and glides on effortlessly.  I really love this eyeliner for a daily soft makeup look.

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow

This is made for all your highlighting and contouring needs. The highlight shade is subtle and elegant. This product will not leave you looking like a shiny disco ball, that’s for sure. The contour shade is quite versatile especially considering there is a bit of shimmer in it. I have always been wary of bronzers with shimmer as they can look a bit artificial, but this one nails it.

The product comes in an incredibly gorgeous rose gold case. It has a very premium feel to it. The pack is sleek and light, perfect for the makeup bag. I have been using this with my Real Techniques contour brush. LOVE IT!

Let me know if you have any reco’s for Charlotte Tilbury products that you love? Next on my wishlist is the Dolce Vita Eyeshadow Quad (hopefully hubby is reading this).
