I wanted to wait and use the Go-To products for a while before posting my full reviews on each to see how I ended up using and fitting these products into my skincare routine.
Very Useful Face Cream
For a while I was trying to figure out how I felt about the face cream and whether for me this would be a day product, a night product or both. My skin is on the sensitive-to-dry side and I have tried this as a moisturiser under makeup (tested under different foundations) and also as a night cream.
First and foremost, it doesn’t break out my sensitive skin and does the job – it moisturises incredibly well, putting flakes at bay. At first, when I started using it under foundation, after a couple of hours I noticed some separation of foundation on my skin, which I deemed was probably due to the richness of the cream. After figuring out that I was probably applying far too much (which I was), and that it best to apply a small amount onto damp skin, I found that it actually works incredibly well under under foundation as well as tinted moisturiser (I really love this paired with my Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser during the day). I have been using this as a night cream too, which has been very effective when I’m giving the oils a bit of a break!
The ingredients on this Face Cream tickle me silly! I was going to list them all but decided to leave you with a link instead [click here]. There is so much goodness packed into a cute little tube. Speaking of size, the tube is 50ml – perfect for travelling and taking on a plane. At $40 bucks a pop it isn’t cheap, but not overly expensive either, especially considering the quality of the ingredients. This would be an awesome product to use on a flight as flying dries the heck out of my skin and the face cream protects against free radicals and is packed with antioxidants.
As you can see, I have been using my tube quite a bit. I have found that the best way to use this product is to warm a little between my fingers and then press the cream onto slightly damp skin. Damp skin (not wet, but damp) helps to absorb creams and allows more slip for easy application. As this is a natural product, you may experience some separation in the cream itself. Warming it before application will also help to re-combine the product as well.
Final comments on the face cream – could it be possible that this cream alone has worked some voodoo magic and has rebalanced my dehydrated, sensitive, dry skin where all other products have failed? The answer is…this product has incredible magical powers that are so mystical that mere humans cannot understand; aka YES!
Would I re-buy?… yes.
